Nice guy trying to finish first: Homegrown Jordan leads Wizards

Win or lose, Eddie Jordan?s wife and two small children can be found in the front row of nearly every Washington Wizards? home postgame news conference. Clarrisse Jordan pays attention to her husband?s words. Jackson and Skylar are usually a little playful and fidgety, but never disrupt the proceedings. Emotions can be raw when only 10 minutes have elapsed since game?s end, but the coach keeps his composure and can always count on a hug ? or two, or three ? when he is done. "That?s the best part," Jordan said. "Whether you?re mad or you?re overly happy, the children, it doesn?t matter to them. The wife, she bleeds when you bleed, and she?s happy when you?re happy. But the kids, they?re always excited." Jordan seems almost too nice to be an NBA coach. "He should run for mayor, I tell him," Washington Wizards assistant coach Mike O?Koren said....

A former television presenter who bombarded Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan with vulgar and threatening phone messages has been spared jail, but warned she faces five years behind bars if she contacts the millionaire businessman again. Tara Stout, a former BBC and Sky TV reporter, received a 26-week sentence last Friday, suspended for two years, and was also ordered to complete 200 hours of community service. Lovestruck Stout, 35, who represented herself throughout the trial, was found guilty of two counts of harassment between March 2005 and July 2006, after City of Westminster Magistrates' Court heard how she contacted Mr Jordan up to 200 times a day at the peak of her campaign. The court heard Stout refused to leave Mr Jordan alone after a week-long fling, sending him disturbing, sexually explicit messages as well as abusive ones in which she threatened to "gut" his mother and "slice" his nieces....

Jordan buys Selhurst Park freehold

Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has bought Selhurst Park from predecessor Ron Noades for 12million.The outspoken businessman, who became the Football League's youngest chairman when he purchased the club from Noades six-and-a-half years ago, revealed that he had secured the freehold. However, the nature of the deal means Noades - with whom Jordan has endured a fraught relationship - did not know the true identity of the buyer. "Given my relationship with the landlord, it's very, very difficult to negotiate a deal," Jordan told Sky Sports News. "I have used the structure - unbeknownst to Ron, I suspect - to purchase the freehold, which we exchanged on Friday last week. "It now puts me in a position in which I own the freehold, which is what I said would do for the club when I bought it and goes to the heart of the plans of the football club having everything it needs in one place." Asked how he thought Noades would react to the news, Jordan added: "Ron really shouldn't care he's sold the freehold to me - he's got his money." More Football News from TEAMtalk ....

Jordan scared out of haunted house
Posted Saturday, September 23, 2006 3:02:35 AM by Blog57 Team
Jordan has told how things that go bump in the night scared her out of her home. No, not Peter Andre. The curvy blonde feared that the old house was haunted. Jordan, real name Katie Price, claims she grew convinced ghostly beings were lurking in the mansion when she heard footsteps echoing through the halls. "There was something going on in that house," she is quoted by the Daily Star as saying. "Sometimes we would be sitting downstairs and we would hear footsteps upstairs and there was nobody up there." At one point Jordan says water stared trickling through the lights and electrical appliances starting turning themselves on and off. "I had water coming through the light fittings and the telly going off for no reason," said the 28-year-old. She has two sons, four-year-old Harvey and baby Junior....
