With state bragging rights on the line, New Hampshire and Dartmouth continued their recent tradition of memorable games last night, the third-ranked Wildcats sweating out a 4-2 victory over the Big Green in Manchester, N.H. Josh Ciocco set up the winning goal by Kevin Kapstad with six minutes left in the third period, then assisted on Brett Hemingway's insurance strike as the Wildcats retained the RiverStone Cup. Jacob Micflikier and Joe Charlebois also scored for UNH (17-3-1), with Kevin Swallow and Tanner Glass responding with tying goals for Dartmouth (6-8-2). Glass's power-play tally knotted the score at 2-2 at 7:58 of the third. Property prices in Monaco could rise steeply in the next couple of years, and Europe's favourite tax haven could be out of reach for some millionaires, according to a Monte Carlo travel guide. Different recent surveys have all been good indicators for Monaco, with more people likely to apply for residency and buy real estate in Monaco. Buyers from the UK in particular are expected to rise in number. Commenting on the findings, travel guide for Monaco http://www.yourmonaco.com say 'While we would like perhaps to imagine that it's the fine cuisine and good Monte Carlo weather that is attracting the British to Monaco, we know realistically that it is because residency entitles them to a zero rated income tax. One survey says that the number of millionaires in the UK will increase four fold in the coming years, and the UK has become a very important market for Monaco real estate recently - that will boost prices as the demand feeds through....

Oct. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Matalan Plc, the U.K.'s biggest discount clothing retailer, agreed to be bought by Chairman John Hargreaves for 817 million pounds ($1.5 billion), returning ownership of the company to the man who founded it in 1985. Hargreaves will pay 200 pence a share for the Skelmersdale, England-based company, Matalan said today in a statement. That's 21 percent more than the value the day before the retailer disclosed Hargreaves' approach in June. The acquisition will be financed by Kaupthing Bank hf, Iceland's biggest lender. Matalan sales have stagnated in the last three years after more than quadrupling in the five years after the company gained a public listing in 1998. Competition intensified as supermarkets including Wal-Mart Inc.'s Asda expanded their clothes offer and Associated British Foods Plc's Primark chain opened more stores....

This campaign will involve Governments, NGOs and the private sector around the world to emphasize the need to protect dolphin species. Twelve years ago the nouveau riche Russians were bringing suitcases of cash to the Cote d'Azur and Monaco to buy property , but a decade later it's the British - using conventional banking methods and with it a degree of respectability - who are investing in Europe's top tax haven. The new wave of British buyers is welcomed by Monaco real estate agents as their funds are more likely to be legitimately earned, while some of the 90's Russian cash was often a little suspect. 'Things have changed since the 90's when the Russian mafia were the big players in town', explains Roger Munns, Managing Director of Monaco property specialists Tribune Properties, 'Then it was easy to put a few million cash down for a property and not have questions asked....
